Benefits of Meditation
Did you know that people who take time to meditate each day are significantly healthier
than everyone else? Not only that but research has shown that regular meditation makes people happier too. So
if you would like to be healthier and happier all you need to do is to spend about 4 hours a day
meditating!
But what if you don't live in a Monastery where someone else will see to all the chores? Luckily there is a

Meditation has also been shown to reduce the stress reaction. It appears that meditators can tolerate the ups

less frequent. People simply cope much better with life's problems and frustrations if they meditate daily.

healthier but they live longer too. This is shown by the fact that some insurance companies charge lower
premiums for meditators. Insurance companies know what they are doing and I think this shows that they have
noticed which of their clients make fewer health and life insurance claims!
We are also told by the researchers that meditators are able to think more clearly and solve problems better.
That they become more creative and that they increase their ability to learn and to be creative in their thinking.
Their ability to focus and concentrate is markedly better than those who do not
meditate.
Maybe the benefits of meditation are all derived from the calmer less stressed out mind. There is more room for
clearer thinking when the mind is not upset.
With so many benefits of meditation why on earth wouldn't we all be meditating and teaching our children to meditate every day?
