It is no good having the best Mp3 player in the world if your headphones are poor quality. This goes for listening to any kind of music. For entrainment you need to have high quality stereo headphones because the sound going to each ear is different.

So get the best headphones you can afford so that you are able to really get the best from your sessions. The best headphones are not necessarily the most expensive either.

Amazon is selling the same model for less than $30 dollars as I write this.

I do not own these though I would love to, they are high up on my wish list. I am recommending them here because I know that professional sound technicians recommend them.

Sennheiser headphones are perfectly suited for brainwave entrainment. They are incredibly high performance and durable, focusing on precision, minimal distortion and the blocking of ambient noise.

These are wireless headphones which means you need not be tethered to your computer. If you are doing a relaxation or meditation session you can relax where you are most comfortable and still hear the sound.

They are quite a bit dearer than the wired ones though, (reviewed next) at around $154 at Amazon.com

Have been using a headset for years. We live in a loft. When my wife is watching HGTV, she uses the Sennheiser RS 130 and mutes the TV speakers. I can then settle with my bookk in the same room and we're both happy.

...The fidelity is terrific. We get no cutting in and out, no interference. The self tuning feature is terrific. The surround feature is pretty good for movies and music.

...Way better than the last one I had for which I paid more than $200.00. I like the charging feature too. Even if I don't turn the headset off, it will charge while on the charging stand.

Sennheiser EH-150 Evolution Hi-Fi Stereo Headphones

Not wireless this time but very good indeed. I do have these and am very happy with them.

These Sennheiser headphones capture sound perfectly. They also sit tightly but comfortably around your ears keeping out extraneous noise. They are definitely the best headphones I have ever used. I am really happy wit them.

They come with a long lead so you can walk about or lie on a sofa to listen to your relaxation or meditation session via your computer.

The price I paid for these was $59.00. I should have bought them from Amazon.com which has them for sale at half that price, only $29.24. What an amazingly good deal.

I'll state up front that I am no audiophile, but I love music and I am pretty picky about how my music sounds.

...and let me tell you, for the price you'd be hard-pressed to do better. The sound is just awesome, I can't even find the right adjectives to describe it. Rich, full, textured, deep, etc. etc.

You get the idea. I could pick up tiny details and even flaws in the music.

I also found them to be very comfortable once I got them properly adjusted... The EH-150s are light and rest on the head without being too tight, which is a huge plus for me.

Overall I would say they are totally worth what you are going to pay for them. To get much better than this, you'd have to go up considerably in price, and hey, some of us have other things to spend money on besides a $500 pair of headphones - like actual music to listen to. :) Get these cans!
