Help For Depression and Low Mood

Have you got the blues?

help for depressionWhen we talk about being depressed we do not always mean that we have a clinical condition. Mostly we mean that we are feeling low or we have "the blues". Everyone feels like this at some time, it could be called a normal part of life.

This isn't the type of depression that this session is intended for. The "Help For Depression" session is for those who are chronically depressed. Chronically depressed individuals have a particular brain wave pattern which this brainwave entrainment session rectifies.

If you have the blues or are feeling upset the best session for you is Complete Calm. The Complete Calm protocol was found by Dr. Norman Shealy to cure 65% of people and it increased their serotonin levels as well.

Clinical depression is a serious mental illness that needs medical attention. If you suffer from such debilitating depression you must seek medical help. But this session can certainly help you too.

How Can Brainwave Entrainment Help When You Are Chronically Depressed?

Neurofeedback research shows that when a person is chronically depressed beta brain waves are at a lower amplitude than expected.

As well, the brain's right hemisphere, which is associated with feeling and emotion, tends to have fewer alpha waves than expected, while the left hemisphere, associated with motivation and rational thought, has more.

All this has been shown in the EEG results of the research subjects.

So from this we can see that the emotional brain- that is the left brain, may be over stimulated and the right side not stimulated enough. Brainwave entrainment sessions for depression were created to rectify this imbalance.

One recent study by Dr.David Cantor, Ph.D.showed particularly good results using audio visual brainwave entrainment.

"After 4 weeks, BDI testing revealed "a huge drop" in self-reported depression scores in the treatment group, compared with no change in the untreated group, said Dr. Cantor.

QEEG testing also showed neurophysiologic changes in the treated patients (but not the untreated group) that corresponded to their reports of improved mood. "The QEEG changes we saw were noted in the frontal regions of the brain that have been shown by other studies to be involved in mood regulation," he said. ...

The group that had received the first phase of treatment showed a sustained effect of treatment, both behaviorally and neurophysiologically, even after 4 weeks of discontinuation."

This Help For Depression Audio Download

This brainwave entrainment audio download uses the same frequency, 14 hz, and timing as that used by Dr. Cantor. It is designed to stimulate your beta brainwaves.

You should listen to it one a day or more every day.
